Welcome!

Hi, I’m Alana, the photographer behind Alana Danae Photography. Based in Arborg MB. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about why photography means so much to me.

Like many people, I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things—especially beautiful photos. When I was around 14 years old, my dad helped me buy my very first camera. I had spent the whole summer cleaning vehicles in our yard to save up some money, and finally being able to hold that camera felt incredible.

From the moment I started using it, I was hooked. I loved experimenting with different angles, playing with lighting, and learning how a single photo could tell a story.

At the time, I never imagined photography could become a business. It was simply something I loved to do.

In high school, I joined the photography committee for the yearbook and even took photography courses as an independent study. Those experiences helped me grow creatively and deepened my love for capturing moments.

In 2023, I started my photography page, and that’s when the idea started forming—maybe this passion could become something more.

Since then, I’ve been slowly growing, learning, and taking every opportunity I can to improve. I’ve had the chance to work alongside other photographers, and my amazing friends have been kind enough to model for me while I built my portfolio.

Now I’m working toward turning this passion into something bigger. I’d love to take you along on that journey as I discover what it takes to run a successful photography business.

What I love most about photography is capturing genuine moments—the laughs between friends, the quiet looks of love between couples, or the pride and excitement of a graduation. These are once-in-a-lifetime moments, and photos allow us to hold onto them forever.
